The Surveys page enables you to access, manage, and build your listening events to gather feedback and insights. You can also complete surveys you’ve been invited to from this area.

This article walks through:

Access the Surveys Page

You access the Surveys page directly from the navigation bar.

  1. Log in to the People Insights Platform.

  2. In the navigation bar, click Surveys.

Surveys Page Overview

The Surveys page is divided into a left navigation panel and a main Surveys area that displays different information based on what you select in the navigation panel. The following options are available in the navigation panel:

  • Manage Surveys: Access the listening events you (or the Perceptyx team) have built.

  • Take Surveys: Complete surveys you have been invited to.

  • Build New Survey: Access our Program Builder portal and wizard to build your own surveys. This area is only available to customers with builder access (self-service).

Manage Surveys

When you click into Surveys, the Manage Surveys page displays by default. You can view the name, status, launch date, role, and report options for all live or closed listening events built by you or the Perceptyx team. You can re-sort the information by column (using the arrows).

You can use the Search feature to find specific surveys (search by full or partial name). You can also click Filters to display options that enable you to filter the list of surveys by product (Classic = managed surveys, On-Demand = self-service surveys), status (live or closed), or launch date.

Depending on your user permissions, you can click View Reporting to access reporting for a survey. For information about reporting and what reports may be available, see the Reporting & Analysis (Reports Dashboard) article.

If you are an administrator user, you can click Analytics Studio for a survey to access the Analytics Studio, where you can create custom dashboards for viewing the survey data and use comment analysis to help you gain insights into the survey results. For more information, see the Analytics Studio article.

Take Surveys

When you click Take Surveys in the navigation panel, the Take Surveys page displays. Here you can access a list of surveys you have been invited to. If a survey status is Live and you haven’t yet taken the survey, you can click Take Survey to open the survey in a separate window.

You can use the Search feature to find specific surveys (search by full or partial name). You can also re-sort by column (using the arrows).

Build New Survey

Clicking Build New Survey in the navigation panel takes you to our Program Builder portal and wizard. This area is only available to customers with builder access (self-service).

The Program Builder enables you to build, launch, and manage your listening events on your own. Key features include:

  • Program Builder Wizard
This wizard walks you through the entire process of creating and launching a listening event (creating your listening event structure, building the content, customizing the settings and styling, inviting listening event participants, and launching the listening event).

  • My Surveys
A central location where you can build new listening events and edit and manage them (e.g., configure trend and survey settings, add and edit users, duplicate surveys, and remove surveys).

  • Template Library
A collection of our best practice listening event templates. You can also create your own templates and add them to the library.

  • Notification Settings
A collection of our best practice notification templates. You can also create your own notification templates.

  • Application Settings
This area enables you to update your system settings, add and manage users, and update branding. This area is available to Administrators only.
