Listening Event Platform Settings (Platform Admins Only) | Crowdsource

As a Crowdsource administrator, you can access settings in the Admin Portal that enable you to add administrator and reporter users to your account and upload a blocklist of words that should not appear in the system during an event.


This article walks through:


Add an Administrator or Reporter User

You add an administrator or reporter user by adding a new user and assigning the applicable user role. Once assigned, the user receives an email notification which they must use to sign in to the account. You can add individual or multiple users.


  1. Log in to the Perceptyx Platform.

  2. In the navigation bar, click the Gear icon.

The Admin Portal appears.

  1. In the left panel, click Listening Events.

The Listening Events screen appears.

  1. Click the Crowdsource tab. 

The Crowdsource tab appears, displaying account and organization settings.



  1. Click Go to Account Settings and display the Accounts tab, if necessary.



  1. Click + Add New User.

The Assign User Role dialog box appears.



The Admin role is selected by default in the Select Role dropdown.

  1. Use the Select Role dropdown to select the role type you want to add - Admin or Reporter.

  2. In the User Email(s) box, type or paste in the email address for the user you want to add as the selected role. For multiple addresses, separate them by commas.

  3. Click Add.

The user is added to the account and appears as the applicable user type in the Roles section of the screen. An email is sent to the user so they can sign in to the account.




Upload a Blocklist

A blocklist is a list of words you don’t want to appear in event results. If a respondent enters a comment with a blocked list word, the comment will be blocked for voting and automatically quarantined for administrative review by the System Administrator, Report Administrator, or Report Creator. 


You provide your blocklist by uploading a .csv file that contains the words to be blocked. The blocklist applies to all accounts.


Requirements:


  • Maximum file size is 20MB

  • The file must have a .csv extension

  • The file can contain alphanumeric characters, commas, and spaces 


  1. Log in to the Perceptyx Platform.

  2. In the navigation bar, click the Gear icon.

The Admin Portal appears.

  1. In the left panel, click Listening Events.

The Listening Events screen appears.

  1. Click the Crowdsource tab. 

The Crowdsource tab appears, displaying account and organization settings.

  1. Click Go to Organizations Settings and display the Accounts tab, if necessary.

The Organizations Settings screen appears, with a place to upload your blocklist file.




  1. Click Select File, navigate to the location of your .csv file, then double-click the file.

The list is uploaded and displays on the Organizations Settings screen.



Note: If needed, you can modify the list and click Re-Upload List to upload the new file.


  1. Close the browser tab to return to the Admin Portal.
