Launch Your Listening Event (Overview)

Modified on Tue, 21 May at 3:41 PM

After adding participants to your event, you can move to the Launch phase. The tasks involved in the launch process vary depending on the event type.

This article walks through the high level of the following and links out to the step-by-step of each:

Launch Your Point-In-Time or Lifecycle Event

When you are ready for the Launch phase in your Point-In-Time or Lifecycle event, you can create and test your email invite (Perceptyx templates make the process quick and easy), make your event live, and create and schedule notifications (invites and/or reminders).

Create & Test Your Email Invite

Email templates provide a quick way to create invitation emails (as well as reminder and reporting access emails). After you create a template you can send a test email to see how the email will look to the recipients.

When creating your invite, you can add placeholders that serve as merge fields so the email will populate with information like the recipient’s name and the URL for the event. You can also use the built-in formatting bar to apply formatting to your email text.

Make Your Event Active

After you create and test your email invite you can make your event active. Changing the status to Active enables you to schedule your email notifications.

Create & Schedule Notifications

After you create your emails and your event is active, you can schedule when your emails are sent. You can send them immediately or schedule a date and time to send them. You can also specify who will receive the email, based on event status - everyone, regardless of status, or only those who have not submitted their event yet (use for reminder emails).

Launch Your 360 Event

When you are ready for the Launch phase in your 360 event, you can easily schedule your event, and review and launch your event all within a few steps.

Schedule Your Event

Scheduling your event allows you to pick from scheduling options for participants and raters to complete their assessments, for how long the event is open, and for reminders. Having a flexible schedule enables each participant to be on their own schedule. Options are available for you to set the number of days the event is open, and when reminders are sent to both participants and raters.

Review and Launch Your Event

After your scheduling is complete, you can review all your selected event options prior to launch. After all your selections are verified, you can proceed with making your event active. Once the event is active, it will present you with the Participants page to add participants.
