Users with the appropriate permissions can use the Advanced Tools section on the Act page to review and monitor engagement with action plans, nudges, and on-demand coaching (if enabled). This data is displayed in the Act Metrics dashboard.
The Act Metrics dashboard provides high-level insights into how effectively insights are being translated into action. It helps identify teams or individuals who may need additional support and offers insight about where to adjust nudge themes, communication strategies, or action plan focus areas to increase overall impact.
Note: Intelligent Nudges and on-demand coaching are available only with the purchase of Activate. For more information, see the Activate Overview article.
The available Activate features may vary depending on your organization’s deployment. Differences can include the data sources driving nudges, the audience receiving nudges, the use of AI-assisted action planning, and access to on-demand coaching.

Monitor Action Plan Engagement
Depending on permissions and your company’s configuration options, Administrators and HRBP users can track action plan engagement data on the Act Metrics dashboard. Data includes the top survey items used in action plans and a participation breakdown by user status (e.g., manager or overall). The participation breakdown data includes:
Participation: The percentage of employees with one or more action plans.
Avg. Plans/User: The average number of action plans per employee.
Plans w. Commitment: The percentage of action plans that include one or more commitments.
To view action plan engagement metrics:
Navigate to the Act page.
At the top of the screen, click Advanced Tools, then select Act Metrics to display the Act Metrics dashboard.
In the Action Plan Engagement section, display the listening event dropdown (top right), then select the event for which you want to view action plan engagement metrics.

You can also search for action plans by employee name and download a report of all action plans for a listening event. For details about these features, see the View Action Plans article.
Monitor Nudge Engagement (Admins Only)
Administrator users can view nudge engagement information in the Act Metrics dashboard. The Nudge Engagement section displays the following information:
Summary Metrics: A global view of how employees are engaging with nudges. This information is based on the last 90 days.
Activity Personas: An easy-to-understand view of how employees are engaging with nudges based on the last 90 days. Each employee is assigned one of four personas based on their engagement:
Activator: “Activators” engage with nearly every nudge they receive, and regularly try new things. These individuals don’t just take action; they make action-taking a top priority in their daily work.
Consistently Active: “Consistently active” employees regularly engage with and act on most of the nudges they receive. They make action-taking a habit in their daily work.
Sometimes Active: “Sometimes active” employees act on some nudges, but do not consistently take action. These individuals may need to be re-inspired or motivated to prioritize taking action.
Inactive: “Inactive” employees have not viewed any of their recent nudges or committed to any action-taking on nudges.
Nudges Sent for Personal Focus Areas: A view of which themes are most commonly selected as personal focus areas in nudge preferences. By default, the time span is set to All Time; however, you can display the dropdown and select 3 months ago, 6 months ago, or 12 months ago to display data for a different time span.
Nudges Viewed Over Time: The nudge view rate over time. By default, the time span is set to All Time; however, you can display the dropdown and select 3 months ago, 6 months ago, or 12 months ago to display data for a different time span.
To view nudge engagement metrics:
Navigate to the Act page.
At the top of the screen, click Advanced Tools, then select Act Metrics to display the Act Metrics dashboard.
Navigate to the Nudge Engagement section to view your data.
Monitor On-Demand Coaching Engagement (Admins Only)
Administrators can assess how employees are engaging with on-demand coaching (chat engagement). The Act Metrics Dashboard displays aggregate data about how many employees have engaged in coaching sessions over the last 90 days and how many conversations were initiated.
To view coaching engagement metrics:
Navigate to the Act page.
At the top of the screen, click Advanced Tools, then select Act Metrics to display the Act Metrics dashboard.
