You can view your action plans at any time. Depending on your role-based permissions, you may also be able to view other people’s action plans and whether they have been completed. This information can help you determine if action plans are relevant and if you need to encourage people to start or complete their action plans. You can also download details about all actions plans for a specific listening event.
Depending on your organization’s action planning configuration, you view action plans from the Act platform page or from the Advanced Reporting Dashboard.

View Your Own Action Plans
You can view any of your action plans at any time.
View From the Act Page
Log in to the People Insights Platform.
In the navigation bar, click Act.
The Act page appears. The Active Action Plans section displays cards for your currently active action plans.
You can also view a list of all your action plans, active and archived.
Click View All to see all your action plans by listening event.
Click the expand icon for a listening event to display its action plans.
To view any of the action plans, click View.
View From the Advanced Reporting Dashboard
Log in to the People Insights Platform.
In the navigation bar, click Analyze.
The Analyze page appears.
In the All Reports section, find the event for which you want to view your action plans, click Actions, and then click View Report or Live Report, as applicable.
The Advanced Reporting Dashboard appears.
In the side panel, click View Action Plan.
The View Action Plan screen appears, displaying the My Action Plans tab.
If needed, you can click Show More to see all the content under any action step.
View Others’ Action Plans
If you have the required permissions, you can view others’ action plans. Depending on your organization’s action planning configuration, you view others’ action plans from the Act Metrics Dashboard or from the Advanced Reporting Dashboard.
From the Act Metrics Dashboard
Navigate to the Act page.
Click Act Metrics.
The Act Metrics Dashboard appears. You can select a specific listening event to display metrics for the top items used in action plans and participation breakdown. You can also search for action plans by employee name.
Click the Search for Action Plan box and start typing the name of the employee whose action plans you want to view. As the list of names dynamically populates, select the name of the employee.
An action plans dialog box displays for the selected employee.
Click the expand icon for the listening event for which you want to view action plans.
The list of action plans for the listening event expands.
Click View for any action plan to view its details.
From the Advanced Reporting Dashboard
Navigate to the Analyze page.
In the All Reports section, find the event for which you want to view others’ action plans, click Actions, and then click View Report or Live Report, as applicable.
The Advanced Reporting Dashboard appears.
In the side panel, click View Action Plan.
The View Action Plan screen appears, displaying the My Action Plans tab.
Click View Others’ Action Plans.
The View Others’ Action Plans tab appears.
The tab displays the following information for each action plan:
Who created the plan
The date the plan was created
The issue selected
Whether a filter was applied
Action steps specified
Review dates specified
Click Show More to see all the content under any action step.
To display action plans for a specific person, type their name in the Search box and then click Search.
To specify the number of entries you want to display on each page, click the Show Entries dropdown, then select a number.
Download Action Planning Data
Users with appropriate permissions can download action planning data for a specific listening event into an Excel file. The file includes separate tabs for action plan participation metrics, top items used in action plans, and action plan/user details. You can use this data for further analysis outside of the platform (analyze directly in the file or upload to other analytics tools you use).
Depending on your organization’s action planning configuration, you download action planning data from the Act Metrics Dashboard or from the Advanced Reporting Dashboard.
From the Act Metrics Dashboard
Navigate to the Act page.
Click Act Metrics.
The Act Metrics dashboard appears.
Click Select a Survey (top right) to display a list of listening events to which you have access.
Click the name of the listening event for which you want to download action planning data.
Metrics for the selected event display in the dashboard and the Download.xlxs option becomes active.
Click Download.xlxs (top right).
The action planning data for the selected event is downloaded to an excel file and sent to your default download location.
Navigate to your default download location and open the file.
The file contains three tabs:
Action Planning Participation: Displays action planning metrics for each user type, including the number and percentage of users with active action plans, the number of active action plans, the number of active action plans per user, the percentage of active action plans with commitments, and the percentage of active action plans generated by the AI Engine (Activate customers only).
Top Items Used in Action Plans: Lists the items used most frequently for action planning, as well as the percentage of managers taking action on each item, the number of active action plans for each item, and the percentage of all active action plans in which each item is used.
Action Planning User Details: Displays user details and action plan details, including the item used for each action plan, and the commitments, follow up dates, and action plan status.
From the Advanced Reporting Dashboard
Navigate to the Analyze page.
In the All Reports section, find the event for which you want to view others’ action plans, click Actions, and then click View Report or Live Report, as applicable.
The Advanced Reporting Dashboard appears.
In the side panel, click View Action Plan.
The View Action Plan screen appears, displaying the My Action Plans tab.
Click Export (bottom right), then select Export PDF or Export Excel.
All the data from both the My Action Plans and View Others’ Action Plans tabs are downloaded to a file in your chosen format and sent to your default download location.
Navigate to your default download location and open the file.
The file contains two tabs:
My Action Plans: Displays details about action plans you have created, including date created, whether completed, the selected issue, any applied filters, action steps, review dates, and notes.
Others’ Action Plans: Displays details for other users’ action plans, including name, date created, whether completed, the selected issue, any applied filters, action steps, review dates, and notes.
