Platform
Account Settings is your own corner of the platform. It is where you check the details the platform has for you, pick how you hear about nudges, and decide which cookies your browser accepts.
Everything in Account Settings is about you and only you. Nothing you change here affects anyone else at your company.
This article walks through
Opening Account Settings and signing out
The navigation bar runs across the top of every page in the platform. On the far right of it, you will see a circle with your initials. That circle is your way into Account Settings, and it is also where you sign out.
To open Account Settings
- Click your initials on the right side of the navigation bar. A short menu drops down with your name at the top.
- Select Account Settings.

Account Settings opens on the Your Profile tab. Next to it are the Notifications and Browser Privacy Settings tabs. Click any tab to switch to it.
To sign out
Click your initials and select Sign Out. Your session ends and you land back on the login page.
Tip
If you are on a shared or public computer, sign out when you are done rather than just closing the tab.
Your profile
The Your Profile tab shows the basic details the platform has for you:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Employee ID

This tab is for looking, not editing. Your details come from your company's records, so you cannot change them here.
Note
Spot something wrong, like a misspelled name or an old email address? Let your platform administrator know. They can get it corrected at the source.
Your notifications
The Notifications tab is where you choose how you hear about Intelligent Nudges. Nudges are short, practical suggestions to help you grow, based on behavioral science research and feedback from your team. They are part of Activate, so this tab is available when your company uses Activate.
Each notification has an Email check box. Leave it checked to get that notification in your inbox, or clear it to stop getting it by email.
To change your notification settings
- Click your initials and select Account Settings.
- Click the Notifications tab.
- Check or clear the Email box next to each notification.
- Click Save Changes.

Note
These settings only cover the notifications listed on this tab. You will still get other emails and chat messages from the platform, like invitations to take a survey.
Your browser privacy settings
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser so it can remember things about your visit. The Browser Privacy Settings tab lets you decide which kinds the platform can use.
| Cookie type | What it does | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary Cookies | Keep the platform working, like keeping you logged in and remembering your privacy choices. | No. These are always on. |
| Functional Cookies | Add extra features and personal touches to the platform. | Yes |
| Performance Cookies | Count visits and show which pages get used most, so the platform can be improved. The data is collected together, not tied to you. | Yes |
| Targeting Cookies | Not used by the platform. | Not applicable |
| Social Media Cookies | Not used by the platform. | Not applicable |
Want the full detail? The Cookie List covers every cookie used on the Perceptyx platform and in surveys.
To change your browser privacy settings
- Click your initials and select Account Settings.
- Click the Browser Privacy Settings tab.
- Choose one of these:
- To allow everything, click Accept All Cookies.
- To pick and choose, check or clear the boxes you want, then click Accept Selected.
- To turn off everything except the strictly necessary cookies, click Reject All.

Note
Privacy settings are saved in the browser you are using, not in your account. If you switch to a different browser or computer, you will need to set them again there.
The cookie prompt
When you open the platform in a browser that has not saved your cookie choices yet, a prompt titled Can we store cookies? pops up. You have two options:
- Click Accept All Cookies to allow all of them.
- Click Cookies Settings to choose which types to allow.

Clicking Cookies Settings opens a Browser Privacy Settings window right where you are. It has the same cookie types and the same Reject All, Accept Selected, and Accept All Cookies buttons as the tab in Account Settings, so make your choices the same way.

Whichever you pick, you can change your mind any time from the Browser Privacy Settings tab in Account Settings.
