Explore the Global Tech Specs to guarantee your internal systems are primed and ensure seamless integration with Perceptyx for optimal usability.
This article walks through:
Email Specs
To ensure seamless and effective communication with employees through the People Insights Platform, it’s essential to configure your organization’s email systems to support email delivery from Perceptyx. This includes allow-listing the appropriate domains, managing email throttling settings, and understanding how security tools and scanning technologies may impact message delivery and engagement tracking. Proper configuration helps ensure that emails are delivered reliably, displayed correctly, and accurately tracked.
Domain Allow-Listing and Email Sending Behavior
To allow all your employees to receive invitation and reminder emails, please ensure that:
All employees are able to receive emails from Perceptyx without it being blocked or marked as SPAM.
Allowlist all emails coming from the @perceptyx.com email domain.
Email “throttling” is turned off.
By default, emails are sent in batches of 500 with a 30-second delay between each batch. We can also send these batches in parallel to increase the delivery rate to ensure employees receive their notifications in a timely manner.
Email Security Software Impact
Automated email security tools may cause artificially high view rates, similar to how URL scanners can generate 100% survey response rates. To prevent misinterpretations, customers should adjust settings to exclude the @perceptyx.com domain.
Email Scanning Technologies: Tools like Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (Safe Links, Safe Attachments) scan and pre-load email content. Adjust to ensure emails are tracked only when they are opened by a human.
Image Preloading: Email clients such as Outlook Desktop, Web, or Mobile may preload images, affecting response metrics. Adjust to ensure images are automatically downloaded from Perceptyx to ensure correct formatting and accurate tracking.
As part of the IT configuration, your organization will need to preload images from Perceptyx within your global email settings. Enabling images ensures that users are able to experience communications from Perceptyx in full, without taking extra steps to download associated images and/or having a reduced user experience with missing images. It also allows Perceptyx to optimize communications based on user engagement with email messages and provide insights to program administrators around user open rates and how nudges resonate across the organization.
Third-Party Gateways: Security services like Proofpoint, Mimecast, or similar providers may prefetch email content before delivery, impacting tracking accuracy. Adjust to ensure emails are tracked only when they are opened by a human.

Please allow-list the following servers to ensure email receipt and the best experience:
Application Specs
To ensure successful access to the People Insights Platform and support secure data integrations, certain application configurations are required. This includes allowing access to designated platform domains and ensuring that proxy servers do not interfere with real-time content delivery.

SFTP Server:
Requests for automated data file feeds will originate from these addresses:
Web Browser Specs
Users of the Perceptyx Platform must remain on a supported browser environment to receive technical support. Perceptyx will stop supporting users of the Perceptyx Platform immediately upon the browser vendor de-supporting that browser.
The following four browsers are supported in accordance with the vendor support policy. Perceptyx recommends the latest versions be used for latest security updates and performance.
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Apple Safari
Microsoft Edge (Chromium Version)
Single Sign-On (SSO) Specs
Single Sign On is available for users to access the Perceptyx Platform. Perceptyx strongly recommends using Single Sign-on (SSO) to enable users to seamlessly log in to the platform with their organization’s authentication credentials. Users are not required to re-enter their password if they are already logged into their organization’s authentication system. Not only does this provide a seamless user experience, but it also enables increased security because the SSO system is the sole location where users present their credentials for authentication.
The following requirements are needed to ensure configuration:
SAML 2.0
IDP-initiated or SP-initiated connections
Connectability with the Perceptyx SSO vendor OKTA
All employees must be able to access the following domains:
Customer will share SSO Metadata file to Perceptyx
Customer will install the Perceptyx Metadata file
User token (NameID) must match values in HRIS data feed
Microsoft Teams/Slack
You can enable employees to receive communications from Perceptyx, like survey invitations, survey reminders, new reports available, Intelligent Nudges (if enabled), and more, in the flow of work with the convenience of MS Teams or Slack.
Engage your IT Administrator to install and push either the Perceptyx Teams App or Perceptyx Slack integration for employees by adding it to your Group Policy.
Note: Before you install the Teams or Slack app, Perceptyx must create a Perceptyx Teams/Slack account associated with your company's email domain and enable the ability to send Teams/Slack survey invites on your company's self-led survey account. Your Perceptyx program manager will make the request on your behalf. Upon completion of these steps, you can install the Teams app or set up the Slack integration, as applicable.
