Manage Your Listening Event Drafts | Point-In-Time & Lifecycle

Modified on Wed, 12 Jun at 11:43 AM

After you create and customize a listening event and build out the content, you can edit, duplicate, or delete the event as needed.

This article walks through:

Edit Your Listening Event

You can edit your listening event at any point before it closes. The event status determines how much you can change.

  • Draft Status:
You can change all aspects of the event (e.g., questions, responses, demographics, etc.).

  • Active Status:
You can make only limited changes (edit existing question text, logos, and colors). You cannot add or delete questions or responses. For more information, see the
Manage Your Active Listening Event | Point-In-Time & Lifecycle article.

Edit a Draft Event

  1. Navigate to the Listen page.

  2. Find your event in the All Events table and click Manage Event.

Note: You can use the search option to search for an event, filter by event type, or click the Draft tab above the table to display only draft events.

  1. Click into the appropriate event phase and make your changes.

  2. When finished, click Save & Exit (top right).

Duplicate Your Listening Event

Duplication is a great option if you want to run the same/similar event, or if you want to test an event and then duplicate once you are ready to launch.

  1. Navigate to the Listen page.

  2. Find your event in the All Events table and click Manage Event.

Note: You can use the search option to search for an event, filter by event type, or click the Draft tab above the table to display only draft events.

  1. At the top of the page, click Event Options, then select Duplicate Event.

A confirmation message appears, prompting you to enter an appID for the cloned event.

  1. Click the AppID box, type a unique appID, then click Clone.

The event is cloned and opens in the Event Builder. You can modify it as/if needed.

Delete Your Listening Event

The Delete option is available only for events with a Draft or Closed status.

  1. Navigate to the Listen page.

  2. Find your event in the All Events table and click Manage Event.

Note: You can use the search option to search for an event, filter by event type, or click the Draft tab above the table to display only draft events.

  1. At the top of the page, click Event Options, then select Delete.

A confirmation message appears.

Note: There is no way to retrieve an event once it has been deleted.

  1. Click Delete.

The event is deleted.
