At Perceptyx, we are always working to improve our products and ensure accuracy in our AI features. However, artificial intelligence may sometimes produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated results. We recommend reviewing any AI output for accuracy and suitability before use. Our AI is intended to assist, not replace, human review or professional advice.
Important: Comment Copilot is an optional feature that must be enabled by Perceptyx at the subscription level. If it needs to be enabled for your company, your Platform Administrator should contact the Perceptyx Customer Success Manager.
Comment Copilot leverages the power of OpenAI to help you quickly understand employee feedback by summarizing open-ended comments from closed Point-In-Time listening events. With a single click, Comment Copilot can analyze your comment data based on one four predefined prompts, helping to fast-track your action planning process.
Note: Comment Copilot is available with the use of standard theme detection.
Comment Copilot is designed to analyze only the text of employee comments. It does not process or interpret quantitative survey data (such as ratings or scores).
Note: Comment Copilot uses generative AI, which leverages OpenAI. When data is sent to OpenAI for analysis, only the comment text itself is shared, no demographic details, client IDs, or any other metadata are transmitted. For details about our approach to generative AI, please see the Perceptyx Perspective on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI article. Please note that Perceptyx does not train on customer data.
Comment Copilot is currently available for closed Point-In-Time events only. If enabled for your company, it is potentially available for all closed Point-In-Time events you have access to. However, platform administrators can disable Copilot for individual events or enable it for previous listening events.
Before any data is sent to OpenAI, we apply our Named Entity Recognition (NER) model to automatically mask names found in open-ended comments. This is a critical privacy safeguard required for processing comment data. As a result, once Comment Copilot is enabled for an event, any detected names will appear masked in the UI and in comment dashboards across both Analytics Studio and Advanced Reporting.
Note: For organizations that want to go beyond the four predefined prompts and prefer more interactive analysis, Perceptyx offers Narrative Analysis Agent, which enables users to ask natural-language questions to uncover key insights and then go deeper by asking follow-up questions or requesting verbatim examples. For more information, see the Use Narrative Analysis Agent article.

Comment Copilot Overview
Comment Copilot summarizes employee comments using four predefined prompts:
Overall Summary
Top 5 Victories
Top 5 Challenges
Top 5 Ways to Improve
Each prompt transforms a large set of comments into a concise, easy-to-digest summary, helping you quickly identify patterns and prioritize action.
For more targeted insights, you can refine the comments being analyzed before generating a summary. You can:
Apply a theme filter to focus on a specific topic
Use demographic filters (from Advanced Reporting) to analyze specific groups
Add a keyword search to narrow results to specific terms or phrases
These options allow you to explore feedback at both a high level and in more focused ways. For example, identifying top challenges within a specific department or summarizing feedback about a particular theme.
Important points to keep in mind:
You can use Comment Copilot only if it is enabled for the event and you have appropriate permissions.
When you access Copilot, any demographic filters in your Advanced Reporting will be applied.
You cannot modify the demographic filters in Comment Copilot. To change them, return to Advanced Reporting to modify your demographic filter selection(s).
Some filters are not currently supported in Comment Copilot (manager hierarchy and response-based)
Access Comment Copilot
You access Comment Copilot in Advanced Reporting.
In the navigation bar, click Analyze.
Click View Report in the Recent section or in the All Reports table for the closed event you want to analyze.
Advanced Reporting opens.
From here, you can access Comment Copilot in one of two ways:

You can use demographic filters to analyze comment data across your entire population or focus on specific groups. This allows you to uncover patterns, differences, or concerns unique to certain roles, locations, departments, and more.
