Create and Edit Event Templates (Platform Admins Only) | Point-In-Time & Lifecycle

Modified on Mon, 11 Aug at 10:16 AM

The Listening Events section of the Admin Portal includes an Event Templates option that takes you to the Event Templates library, where you’ll find all templates created by Perceptyx or your organization. Perceptyx provides 67 best-practice templates to help you get started quickly. The library makes it easy to view, customize, and activate templates, as well as build new events or templates from scratch, all in one place.

This article walks through:

Access the Event Templates Library

You access the Event Templates library directly from the Listening Events screen.

The library displays the following information about each template:

  • Type: Indicates if the template was created by Perceptyx or your organization. Click View Description to see a description of the template.

  • Title: The name of the template.

  • Category: The category associated with the template.

  • Questions: The number of questions in the template.

  • Active: Indicates whether  a template is active (available to users) or inactive (unavailable).

  • Start Building: Begins the process of building an event from the template.

  • Actions: Actions you can take for active templates (view, clone, or deactivate) and inactive templates (edit, delete, or activate).

You can click the TypeTitleCategoryQuestions, and Active column headings to sort the library in ascending or descending order by each heading.

  1. Log in to the Perceptyx Platform.

  2. In the navigation bar, click the Gear icon.

The Admin Portal dashboard appears.

  1. In the Platform Settings section of the left panel, click Listening Events.

  2. Click the Point in Time and Lifecycle tab, if necessary.

  3. Click Go to Event Templates.

The Event Templates library appears.

  2. Find the template you want to view, click the Actions option, then select View.

  3. Click through the Event Builder phases to view the template contents and styling.
